The Down by the Bay Family
I’m Leazel, a first time mom, coffee lover and child development specialist. Once I had my son Harvey, I quickly realized that our town was lacking the much needed supports for new moms. I found myself reaching for supports in all directions, and often having to travel. With my background of being a Resource Consultant (child development specialist), I knew I had to make a change to support the families in need.
Down by the Bay Play Cafe will be a place families can come together and play but also ask developmental questions about their children and families, all while learning something new! I may not have all the answers, but I’m sure that I can find the supports and send you in the right direction. I have a toolbox of strategies I’m happy to share, and an abundance of experience with children of all developmental levels.
Together we will make our cafe a space full of knowledge, a safe space to express, and most importantly build a strong community of families in the Midland area.
